Do I need a shaped wedding band?
Only if the fit or appearance you want calls for one. Some engagement rings sit comfortably beside a straight band; others have a setting that prevents a close fit. We can assess your ring before recommending a solution.
Will you need to keep my engagement ring?
We may need it briefly to establish the precise shape and check the fit. The requirement depends on the design and manufacturing method. We will agree any handover, care arrangements and return timing with you in advance.
Is a gap between my engagement and wedding rings a problem?
A gap is not automatically a fault. It may be a visual preference rather than a practical issue. What matters is how the rings sit and whether they make damaging contact with each other.
Can you make a band for an engagement ring bought elsewhere?
Yes, we can discuss a fitted band for an existing engagement ring. We first assess its design and condition, then explain the shape and manufacturing options that are suitable.
Can I wear a shaped band alone?
Yes, although its outline will be more noticeable without the engagement ring. A gentle curve may feel more familiar on its own than a pronounced fitted contour. Consider both appearances before approving the design.
Can a shaped-to-fit band be resized later?
Some can, but changing the size can also change the contour and its relationship to the engagement ring. Diamond settings may add further restrictions. Both rings should be assessed before an alteration is agreed.
