About the Founder

 

I am the proud founder of Emily Burlington Ltd, a venture born from a legacy of jewellery craftsmanship spanning generations. Growing up in a family of esteemed jewellers, I found myself immersed in the artistry and intricacies of the trade from a young age. At the tender age of eight, I began my journey in our family business, A&S Jewellery Mfg Ltd, where I eagerly took on every task, learning the nuances of the industry through hands-on experience.

 

Over the years, I honed my skills, progressing from menial tasks to mastering the art of polishing jewellery and assisting clients at our Hatton Garden based wholesale trade counter. In 1992, we seized the opportunity to open a retail unit in the heart of Hatton Garden, trading under the name A&S Jewellers until 2023. This invaluable experience allowed me to develop a profound understanding of every facet of the jewellery industry.

 

In 2023, with my daughter by my side, I embarked on a new chapter, bidding farewell to our family business as we closed its doors for the last time. Armed with decades of expertise and a passion for turning ideas into exquisite reality, I founded Emily Burlington Ltd. My vision for this endeavour is to create timeless pieces of jewellery that capture the essence of individuality and heritage.

 

At Emily Burlington Ltd, I take great pleasure in transforming concepts and inspirations into unique jewellery pieces. I find immense joy in the thought that my creations will become cherished family heirlooms, passed down through generations. Building enduring relationships with my clients is at the core of my approach. I understand that purchasing jewellery is not merely a transaction but a significant emotional and financial investment. I am dedicated to offering a personalised and trustworthy experience, where clients can make informed decisions, free from high-pressure sales tactics.

 

My journey in the world of jewellery has been enriched by a diverse educational background. I pursued studies in art, product design, and fabrication during my school and college years. Later, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from university. This unique blend of creative vision and technical expertise empowers me to design exquisite jewellery pieces and provide clients and craftsmen with high-quality, hand-drawn renderings. My in-depth knowledge of materials and manufacturing techniques allows me to anticipate potential challenges in designs, ensuring the final product meets the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
